Ben Nye Banana Powder Review
I originally was hoping to pick this up from my trip to London, however it was unfortunately out of stock.
I got an email a few weeks ago - it was back in stock so I ordered it from the gurumakeupemporium website. Excellent service and super fast delivery.
It is very much hyped up due to Kim Kardashian famously posting pics of her contouring using this exact powder. I'm not going to be contouring to the extremes she does. I chose this powder because of its yellow tones, which are excellent for cancelling out redness, so i will be using this on my cheeks and also to set concealer under the eyes.
First thoughts:
It is a very finely milled powder, lovely to apply and isn't that yellow once on!
My only gripe is the pot / dispenser. Took me ages to work out how to peel the film off the top and when i did i found i spilt some when pouring into the lid to use. Other than that this powder is great.
I use my Real techniques 'Setting Brush' to apply under my eyes and to areas of redness. I find this brush gets into the corners of my eyes and can be used around the nose and chin for any redness there too.
For the price £9.95 you get a lot 45 grams to be exact! I can see this lasting me absolutely ages... providing I don't sneeze or spill it whilst applying.
Blended in on my hand....
As you can see doesn't make you yellow at all.
So overall I highly recommend this powder for combating redness and helping to set your makeup.
Really great quality for the price point.
