Soap & Glory 'Purple Rain' Gloss stick Swatch & Review

Soap and Glory Sexy mother pucker Gloss stick
in
"Purple Rain"

When per-using boots as I do, I noticed that a new gloss stick hit the stands of soap and glory, possibly to replace the old gloss sticks as I couldn't see them. This at first made me sad because I love the gloss sticks so much and always have one in my bag or close to hand.

But then I spotted this new shade 'Purple Rain' and at the bargain price of £3.50 I was sold!

Sexy mother pucker gloss sticks are so moisturising and provide just enough pop of colour. They aren't tingly like the lip-glosses and feel really comfortable to wear.
Nudist is my all time favourite of the old version and I'm happy to say that they still have that shade in the new version.

As-well as being lovely to apply it smells gorgeous too, a vanilla cupcake scent!
I love the new slanted tip, makes it easy to apply.

So on to the swatches;

On the lips:

As you can see this is a gorgeous berry plum tone, perfect for autumn. Gives enough colour without it looking too bright and in your face, so if you are a bit scared of colour then these are perfect.
They are lovely and moisturising and apply like a dream, in fact I can apply without using a mirror.
Unlike traditional lip-glosses your hair doesn't get stuck to this in the wind and it doesn't feel gloopy or stick to wear.

I have been wearing this non stop since I bought it and I have barely made a dent so I can see this lasting a while even though it seems to be a smaller tube, it just means it will now also fit in my coat pocket!

Have you tried the new gloss sticks from soap and glory? What is your favourite shade? xxx

This months Glamour Magazine comes with a Nails Inc Nail polish!! Nov 2014

November's Glamour magazine
(Claire Danes on the front cover)
comes with a free Full Size Nails Inc Nail Varnish!!

Choice of 4 Shades created exclusively for Glamour:
Wigmore Street, Tate, Marylebone Mews, Hanover Square.

Being me... I picked up two!
(Only because the other 2 shades weren't in stock at that newsagents,
when I see them I shall definitely be getting those too!!)

UPDATE: Found the other two nail varnishes, and have added more photos!!

Nails inc make such great quality nail varnishes, glossy finish and take a while to chip...oh and retail at £11 each!

I got 'Tate' which is a gorgeous deep red colour and 'Wigmore Street' which is a deep plum purple with a tinge of navy blue to it shade.

Then i found the other two shades:
Marylebone Mews which reminds me of Nails Inc 'Potchester Square' a grey / beige / lilac shade which is a lovely neutral shade for everyday or when you're not sure what to wear!!
Hanover Street is a very dark deep burgandy with a deep plum colour to it.

So which shade will you choose?!!

All these shades really are perfect for Autumn, as-well as being great quality!
Such a steal for £2 for a full size Nails inc polish that normally sells for £11!!

Tips for the extra magazine: I like to rip and cut out inspiration then make a sort of scrapbook collage! So when i look at it I get inspired for blog posts or make-up ideas and looks! Or have a collection of articles I enjoyed.

Now to decide which one to wear first....

Take time for you. Take care and look after yourself.
Thanks for popping by luv acesparklestar xoxo

NARS Fairy's Kiss Eye Palette Swatches & Review

This gorgeous eye-shadow palette really is a fairy's kiss....

Contains 6 Gorgeous Sultry Smoky Eye-shadow Colours.

Thought i'd share some swatches as to how lovely these shades are.....

Boldly going....to Nars! Velvet Matte lip pencil Mysterious Red Review

Boldly going.... where I have previously been too nervous to!!!

I am a 'play it safe' neutral lipstick kinda girl.
When sorting through my makeup collection i realised i have far too many nude and light pink shades.
But it's time to step out of my comfort zone and try bolder and vibrant colours....so what it ends up on my teeth or smudged all over my face, so what! I'm not a celeb, the pics won't end up in heat magazine.

So here i go......
The lipstick that caught my attention is the
Nars Velvet matte lip pencil in their new shade (Autumn 2013)
 'Mysterious Red'
This is basically a matte lipstick in the form of a pencil, which makes for ease of applying and for touchups on the go. Fairly fool proof upon applying, as it's a pencil outline the lips then colour in the rest.

Crayola colouring in for adults!

As you can see from the swatches the colour is a gorgeous deep red colour, that doesn't wash you out.
