Can you tell I am completely addicted to Orange is the New Black?!!
Today's post is about changing up an eye-shadow by using black as an eyelid base.
No I haven't gone over to the dark side...bare with me .... it works!!
If you start an eye look with a black eye-shadow and then add the colour on the top.
This makes the colour appear vivid and pop. Gives a whole new look instantly.
The Urban Decay's Naked 1 palette has a black shade called 'Creep' use this as a base and use any of the other colours to add variety and essentially change up the whole palette!!
Below is an example using 'Creep' from the Naked palette which is a dark black shade with 'Toasted on the top. This is a lovely warm bronzey brown shade.
One of my favourites from this palette.

Left eye: Just 'Toasted' all over the lid. So you can compare the difference.
Right eye: 'Creep' with 'toasted' on the top

Fill in your eyelid as a base, the pat on the colour eye-shadow on the top. Et voila!
A new look.
I have just used the naked palette as an example, any black eye-shadow of your choice will work!
