It's Prime time....Bare Minerals Primer Review

Bare Minerals Prime Time Review.
Primers....
What are they for, what do they actually do and why do I need one?

Primers help to smooth out the base, making the foundation you apply on the top smooth and flawless.
Helps your foundation to stay put, gives it something to cling to and stops your foundation from slipping and sliding off your face.
Helps to cover up enlarged pores and imperfections. Increases the wear time of your foundation and evens you skin texture.

My face primer of choice is Bare Minerals Prime Time.

This has a consistency and texture like no other....
Its a clear gel. You only need a penny size for your whole face. Can even be used for combination or sensitive skins as it really is gentle.
I start by concentrating on nose area outwards onto cheeks. Forehead and chin.

I notice when i don't use a primer, foundation doesn't last as long, I get oily and get dehydrated lines on my forehead.

Prime time is also available in neutralizing, brightening and oil control.
I have the Original as well as the Neutralizing one which is a yellow colour designed to hide redness.
Does a good job of balancing out but have to say it does have a strange smell to it but that disappears once dried on face. The original doesn't really have much of a smell.

Highly recommend the Bare Minerals primers, even if you don't use bare minerals foundation you can still use the primers under your favourite foundation.
Free of preservatives, silicone and irritants. Has antioxidant vitamins C and E to help soothe and nourish the skin. Helping to create a smooth evened out skin with long lasting wear.

Swatches: Left Neutralizing Prime Time. Right: Original Prime time.

Doesn't feel tacky or sticky to apply, helps with dryness and flakiness.
Covers enlarged pores and creates an evened out texture and base. Doesn't feel mask-like, just lovely and light.
It really does feel silky soft upon applying, when you first use it it's a bit strange how soft and silky it actually is!!

My philosophy is get the Base right, the rest will follow. Makes it much easier creating a flawless smooth layer of foundation if the base is smoothed out to start.
Hope this helps x

Have you tried a primer you would recommend?

Take time for you, Take care and look after yourself.
Thanks for popping by luv acesparklestar xoxo
