La Roche Posay CC Rosaliac Cream Review

La Roche Posay
CC Cream
Rosaliac

Daily Unifying Complete Correction cream
Spf 30
"For redness prone and sensitive skin, this provides instant coverage and correction of all types of redness.
Whether occasional, persistant, dispersed or localised. Varying intensity and origin".

This tells me it would be helpful for Flushing and sudden redness of the face too.

Flake Away Body Polish Scrub Review

Soap and Glory 'Flake Away'
Body Polish / Exfoliator / Scrub

This is my all time favourite body scrub. Ever. No doubt!
Would definitely go in my products I can't live without!

Its a lovely creamy scrub but unlike most, the beads to scrub with aren't scratchy or harsh.

I recently reviewed the Pixi Glow tonic which I have been using religiously.

But it occurred to me that not everyone is aware of what toner is or actually does.....
So here goes.... here is my humble interpretation....

Bare Minerals Marvellous Moxie Rebel

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie
'Rebel'

A lovely pretty pink sheen with a slight minty tingle.
Not as tingly as the soap and glory 'sexy mother pucker' lip glosses.
It's a nice zing, that gives it a fresh scent and revived lips.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask Review

Origins Drink Up Intensive
Overnight Mask ..... to quench skin's thirst.

This lovely and hydrating cream contains:
Plant glycerin, hyaluronic acid, apricot kernal oil which all instantly hydrate the dehydrated skin with moisture. Advocado oil and mango butters help to build up a reserve for tomorrow. Japanese seaweed helps to prevent moisture loss in the future.

L'Oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Review

L'Oreal ExtraOrdinaire by Colour Riche

"When oil meets colour"

Intense colour of a lipstick
Magnifying shine of a gloss
Softness of a balm

Have to say I agree with all 3 claims, the colour packs a punch of a lipstick, with a shine of a gloss and is soft on the lips like a balm.

My Ultimate MAC Eye-shadow Quad

My Ultimate Mac Quad Eye-shadow Palette

My top 4 MAC Eye-shadows, I chose to include in my bespoke eye palette.

 Use constantly and highly recommend!!

If you are new to MAC eye-shadows. You buy the empty palette (available as a 2, 4 or 15).

Then you chose the refill eye-shadow pans you wish to fill it with.

It's a great way to create your own eye-shadow set with colours you have chosen, instead of pre filled ones that usually have one or two colours that aren't really your style!

You can also mix and change whatever the mood you fancy.

Top Left: Naked Lunch
Is a lovely subtle pink highlighter with a very slight shimmer to it.
I use for inner corners and to use all over my eyelid up to my brow bone.

Top Right: All that Glitters
Such a versatile colour. A light beige with slight shimmer of gold to it.
Use alone as just a hint of sheen and sparkle or use as an all over eyelid with satin taupe worked into the crease as in below photo.

All that glitters all over lid, naked lunch inner corner highlight and satin taupe worked into the crease.

Bottom Right: Wood-Winked
MAC describe this as a warm Antique Gold. Is a warm brown colour with a slight golden-sheen.
This is one of those eye-shadows that just this one colour alone makes it look like you have spent more time on your eyes that you actually have!
Looks like you have blended into the crease, even when you haven't.
So a great one to pick if time is of the essence!!

Bottom Right: Satin Taupe
Taupe with a silver shimmer.
This is a lovely bronze grey taupe with a slight purple tinge to it.
Looks great when blended into your eyelid crease.

So there you have it a great all rounder self picked quad.
All the eye-shadows can be worn alone, mixed and blended in the crease to create stunning everyday eye looks.

This little beauty is always in my make-up bag that resides in my handbag so is in constant use!
My go to eye-shadows.... when I'm not sure what eye look I want I reach for this.
Inspiration just pops into my head!

Take time for you. Take care and look after yourself.
Thanks for popping by luv acesparklestar xoxo

Which MAC four eye-shadows would you recommend?
More to the point.... can you whittle it down to just 4??
I'll leave you to ponder that one!?

Kiko Mini Haul

Kiko Mini Haul

Have heard so much about this Italian brand of cosmetics...
I just had to see for myself and try some beauty bits.

First of all, as you enter the shop you are hit by vast arrays of cosmetics and colours that bombard you!

So much to choose from!

You feel as though any look is possible and almost any colour is available at your finger tips.

The prices are so reasonable for such high quality of make-up.

After much browsing round the shop... I eventually settled on the lipstick, Nail Varnish and an eye-shadow stick (shown below) to trial out and review.
So here are my thoughts...

Nivea In Shower Moisturiser Review

Nivea In Shower Moisturiser Review

At first this sounded quite odd to me... but when you think about it we moisturiser our hair in the shower by way of conditioner so it's about time someone invented the same for our bodies don't you think??

I picked up the blue one for 'Dry Skin' Almond oil.

So here is how it works....

Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Sleek Restorer Review

New Garnier Ultimate blends
Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I picked the
'The Sleek Restorer' as it contains Coconut oil and cocoa butter....

I highly recommend you give these new hair products a try.

I Love how both the shampoo and conditioner leave my hair clean, refreshed but at the same time lovely and sleek without the greasiness.
Not a hint of frizziness in sight!
Hair stays clean for a good few days too.

I have long past shoulder length hair and this makes light work of washing and conditioning.
Which is saying something.

Shampoo comes out a yellow transparent colour, lathers up well and washes out nicely too.
I am left with lovely soft and smooth locks that don't feel weighted down or frizzy.
Seriously can't stop touching my silky soft hair!

Oh and did I mention it smells good too!
Yummy coconut!! But not too over powering.

I have only tried the sleek coconut from the Ultimate blend range, but having tried and liked am very tempted to try the 'silky smoother' range as this is for mid - long hair.
It contains a polishing scrub for your hair!! Yes I said it right... your hair!!
Never heard of a polishing scrub for your hair before??!
That caught my eye, so may just give that a go next time I'm shopping!

So in conclusion, you need to try this shampoo and conditioner if like me, your hair gets easily tangled, can get frizzy and needs a bit of shine without the lank greasiness, then this is for you!

Plus the price at the moment, as it is on offer in boots is great!!
(£1.94 for 400ml!)
That's the big bottle so should last a while!

Take time for you. Take care and look after yourself.
Thanks for popping by luv acesparklestar xoxo

Which blend are you?

L'Oreal ExtraOrdinary Facial Oil Review

L'Oreal
ExtraOrdinary Facial Oil

Had it not been part of the 3 for 2 at boots then I wouldn't have even looked twice simply because of the price.
Thankfully though it was on offer and I am so glad I picked it up.

Was a little bit wary of using a facial oil having previously never tried one.
My skin is combination so was concerned would leave it feeling greasy.
However... how wrong I was!!
